| + | # Iridium Ingots: A step by step guide |
| + | |
| + | #### Step 1: A Netherite Brush |
| + | "WTF!!! I didn't know brushes were netherite!" I hear you asking. On the iridium smp, all tools (except trident and shield) can be upgraded to a netherite variant. This means bows, crossbows, flint and steel, shears, even brushes. You upgrade a tool the exact same way you upgrade a diamond tool to netherite, combine it, along with a netherite ingot and smithing template inside a smithing table. |

| + | |
| + | |
| + | #### Step 2: The end |
| + | Not the end of this guide, but you just need to be in the end to gather any reasonable quantity of iridium metal, so go there with your new brush. |
| + | |
| + | #### Step 3: Mine end stone or any kind of purpur |
| + | MINE the block, as in break it like you're using a pickaxe, and it should puff into a bit of black smoke and drop no items. This means it's working right, and you've officially rolled for a chance to drop an iridium fragment. All purpur blocks have a 1/100 chance to drop a fragment, and end stone has a 1/1000 chance. |
| + | |
| + | #### Step 4: Keep mining |
| + | This may take a bit of time, continue on to step 5 when you've dropped your first fragment. |
| + | |
| + | #### Step 5: Your first iridium fragment |
| + | Wahoo! You got your first iridium fragment! Now just collect 8 more. |
| + | |
| + | #### Step 6: Steps 2-5 8 more times |
| + | Finally, you have 9 fragments. Now, combine them in a crafting table as if you were making a block of iron, and you'll have your very first iridium chunk. |
| + | |
| + | #### Step 7: Probably the easiest step so far |
| + | Now, just smelt the chunk in a furnace and you'll have your very own iridium ingot! |
