Not the end of this guide, but you just need to be in the end to gather any reasonable quantity of iridium metal, so go there with your new brush.

MINE the block using your netherite brush as if it were a pickaxe, and it should drop no items (it does not have to be naturally generated, you can craft purpur and mine it with the brush for this). This means it's working right, and you've officially rolled for a chance to drop an iridium fragment. All purpur blocks have a 1/100 chance to drop a fragment, and end stone has a 1/1000 chance. The blocks must be mined in the end, otherwise they will not roll a chance for an iridium fragment.

This may take a bit of time, continue on to step 5 when you've dropped your first fragment.


To finish, smelt the chunk in a furnace and you'll have your very own iridium ingot!
